Child Development
The Denver Scale established a baseline of child development according to 4 items:
- Motor skills
- Language
- Fine motor skills
- Social contact
However, this test is only an indication of the child's development, so if your child is out of line, do not worry. For example, some children do not crawl, some walk late, and recently the age limit for walking has been extended to 20 months.
This grid, mastered by the health professionals around the child, allows your practitioners and especially your osteopath to inform you about the development of your child but also to reassure you.
The role of your osteopath will be to check the acquisitions of your child, to help your child to move since sometimes a blockage prevents the child from moving without any developmental disorders. Your osteopath will also be able to redirect you to competent professionals such as pediatricians, psychomotricians, etc. in case of necessity of a psychomotor care
